The US musical project was founded in 1998 by Jimmy LaValle, who is known for his visual art performances, and fusion of electronics, synthesizer, and piano.
M4Gang, Uptown Rockers, MouseFX, Gwenji, Shumking Mansion, Mr Koo, Murphy and the Lawyers and Crimes Against Pop are set to perform, with over 150 beers from more than 20 local breweries and distributors on offer. Tickets start at HK$450.
Ink-lovers will be able to learn about the history and development of the practice whilst mingling with their favourite tattoo masters, whilst artists will be able to exchange and showcase their expertise.
“Cities around the world boast incredible flea markets that attract kids, families, tourists, and locals, but Hong Kong was missing out. So, we built something that fills this gap while also reducing the cycle of unsustainable shopping in the city,” the founders say.
The now-deleted graphics showed cut-outs of the convenor of government advisory body the Executive Council in floral settings, in an apparent parody of the city’s “Hello Hong Kong” tourism reboot campaign.
The 3-day line-up includes Bhavesh Kakkar and Oleksandr Frolov, Aileen Alonzo-Hayward, Balatro, Karen y Los Remedios as well as Reggietheleaf and Rixin.
Holding up the box containing two chocolates, police chief Raymond Siu said, “inside, there is a white chocolate and dark chocolate… The meaning is that people must tell black from white.”
